Personal Training Packages in Dubai: What Is Included and What Costs Extra?

A package is only comparable once you know what sits inside the hour and what is billed separately. Here is the checklist to run before you pay for anything in Dubai.

Short answer: a personal training package in Dubai normally buys you coached sessions with a named trainer plus the programming behind them. Travel to your address, venue access, detailed nutrition work, body composition testing and any equipment supplied for home use are the items most often quoted separately. Because providers bundle differently, the only reliable way to compare is to request a written quote that lists inclusions and exclusions line by line.

What usually sits inside the hour

  • The coached session itself, with a stated length such as 45 or 60 minutes.
  • A written programme, updated as you progress rather than repeated each week.
  • Technique coaching and load management during the session.
  • Basic progress tracking so you can see what changed between reviews.

What is commonly quoted separately

  • Travel to addresses outside the coach's usual coverage, or outside Dubai.
  • Guest or day fees where a building or third party venue charges for access.
  • Detailed nutrition programming, if it is sold as its own service.
  • Body composition scans carried out by an external provider.
  • Equipment delivered to your home for the duration of a programme.

None of these are hidden costs when they are disclosed up front. They become a problem only when the first invoice is the first time you read about them.

The questions to ask before you pay

  • How long is one session, and is travel time counted inside it?
  • Who is my coach, and what happens if that coach is unavailable for a session?
  • Where will sessions take place, and who is responsible for arranging venue access?
  • What nutrition support is included, and in what format?
  • How much notice is required to move or cancel a session?
  • How long do I have to use a block of sessions?
  • Is the quoted figure inclusive of VAT?

Ask for the answers in writing. A provider who is confident in the service will have no difficulty putting them in an email.

How to compare two quotes properly

Start with cost per coached hour, because that is the one number both quotes contain. Then write the extras beside it. One provider may include a weekly check-in, a nutrition plan and a dedicated coach for the whole block. Another may price the hour lower and then charge for the programme, the review and the travel. The second quote can end up higher and deliver less continuity.

Continuity matters more than most people expect. A coach who has watched you squat every week for three months makes better decisions about your load than a coach meeting you for the first time, however good they are.

How Project Reshape structures it

Our programmes run 12 to 16 weeks, one to one, with the same coach throughout. Sessions take place in your home, in your building gym, or at one of our assessment venues, The Locker in Al Quoz and Wasl 51 in Al Wasl. The initial assessment is free and carries no obligation. Current pricing depends on frequency, session length and where you train, so we quote it in writing after the assessment rather than publishing a single rate that would not be accurate for most people.

Frequently asked questions

Why do so few Dubai trainers publish a full price list?

Because the deliverable changes with the client. Session length, weekly frequency, travel to your address, venue use and the amount of nutrition support all move the number. Ask for a written quote for the specific plan you want rather than a headline rate.

What should a written quote contain?

The number of sessions, session length, weekly frequency, where sessions take place, who your coach is, what nutrition and check-in support is included, what is billed separately, the validity window of the block and the cancellation notice period.

Is the first assessment charged?

At Project Reshape the initial assessment is free. Confirm the same in writing with any provider you compare, and check whether a free session commits you to anything afterwards.

Can I compare two quotes fairly on price alone?

Not usually. Convert both to a cost per coached hour, then list what each one includes beyond the hour. A cheaper hour with no programming, no nutrition guidance and a rotating coach is not the same product.
